How NTRX Cam Handles Information

Effective date: November 2, 2026

This page explains what the NTRX Cam iOS app accesses on your device, what information leaves your device, who receives it, and the choices you have. Some features described here are available only in recent versions of the app.

Summary

NTRX Cam is a camera effects app. You do not need an account to use it.

Who We Are

NTRX Cam is developed and published by an independent developer, shown as the seller on the app's App Store page. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean that developer, who is responsible for the information described here.

Privacy questions and requests: support@ntrxcam.app

Information The App Accesses

Face, Body And Depth Data

Some effects detect faces and facial landmarks, hands, body poses, people's outlines or pets in the camera image, and some use depth from the LiDAR scanner or the front TrueDepth camera. This is done in real time on your device with Apple's built-in frameworks.

This data is used only to draw the effect on screen and in your recordings. It is not sent to us or to any third party, it is not used to identify anyone, and it is not used for advertising, marketing or data mining. The app does not keep it, except depth data that you choose to record with the Save Depth option. That data stays in the app's Library on your device until you delete it or share it yourself.

Location (City Effect)

Only the live 3D city effect in the Cities group uses your location. The first time you open it, iOS asks for permission to use your location while the app is in use. Each time you open the effect or tap Relocate, the app takes a single position fix and then stops location updates. The app does not use your location in the background. The effect needs Precise Location to place the buildings correctly.

To draw the buildings, the app downloads map tiles from OpenFreeMap. That request contains only the numbers of the one to four map tiles around you (each roughly 2 km across), not your coordinates. If OpenFreeMap does not respond, the app instead sends your coordinates and a search radius of 300 m to a public OpenStreetMap Overpass API server (overpass-api.de or overpass.private.coffee). Like any internet request, these services also see your IP address and handle it under their own policies.

We never receive or store your location. The downloaded map area is kept only in the app's memory while the app is running. Your location is not used for analytics, advertising or tracking.

Map data: OpenFreeMap © OpenMapTiles Data from OpenStreetMap, available under the Open Database License (ODbL).

Analytics

NTRX Cam collects anonymous usage analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve it. Events include app opens, effect and category opens, using an effect for 10 seconds, record and photo taps, saves and failed saves, favorites, onboarding completion, paywall views, and purchase starts, completions, failures and restores.

Events can include the effect or category identifier, whether it is a Pro effect, the product identifier of the selected plan, and, if you arrived through a creator's link or referral code, the campaign and referral code identifiers. Each event is sent with the app version, the iOS version, whether your device has a LiDAR scanner, the country of your App Store account, the region and language set on your device, a random identifier created on your device the first time the app is opened, and a random session identifier. The country and region come from your account and device settings, not from your location.

Analytics do not include your name, email, Apple Account, photos, videos, sound, location or contacts, and the identifier is not linked to any account. Analytics data is used only for product analytics and is not used for advertising or tracking.

Analytics are processed by PostHog, Inc. on servers in the United States. Events are sent without user profiles, the app asks PostHog not to look up location from your IP address, and our PostHog project is set to discard IP addresses. PostHog privacy policy: posthog.com/privacy

Creator Referrals

We work with content creators through GoMarketMe, an affiliate marketing service, so that a creator can be credited when someone installs NTRX Cam or buys NTRX Pro through the creator's link or referral code.

For this, the GoMarketMe component in the app sends GoMarketMe an app-specific device identifier (identifier for vendor) and basic device information, such as device model, screen size, iOS version, language, region and time zone, when the app starts. After a purchase, it can also send App Store transaction details, such as the product, transaction identifiers, purchase and expiration dates, price and currency. GoMarketMe also receives your IP address. It does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and we do not receive your name, email or payment details.

GoMarketMe processes this information on servers in the United States under its own policy. GoMarketMe privacy policy: gomarketme.co/privacy

How Purchases Are Handled

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple using your Apple Account. We do not receive your payment card number or your Apple billing details.

On your device, the app reads from Apple your purchase status, to unlock NTRX Pro, and the date you first downloaded the app, to decide which prices to show you, because prices can differ between users. The app also reads the country of your App Store account and adds it to analytics. Purchase events are also recorded in analytics and may be shared with GoMarketMe, as described above.

App Content Updates

When it starts, the app checks the update service of Expo (expo.dev), the platform the app is built with, for new app content. The request includes the platform, the app version, update identifiers, a random installation identifier created by the update system, and, if the app failed to start the previous time, a short technical error message. Expo also receives your IP address. The request does not include your photos, videos, location or contact details. Expo privacy policy: expo.dev/privacy

Crash Reports And Support

The app does not include a third-party crash reporting service. If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may share crash reports and usage statistics with us under Apple's terms.

If you email us, or use the feedback form in the app (which opens your mail app), we receive your email address and your message and use them only to answer you.

Website

The ntrxcam.app website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It does not use cookies, analytics or advertising. Cloudflare processes technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect the site.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the app to serve third-party advertising.

We share limited information only with the service providers described on this page: Apple (App Store distribution and purchases), PostHog (analytics), GoMarketMe (creator referrals), Expo (app content updates), OpenFreeMap and OpenStreetMap Overpass API servers (map data for the city effect), and Cloudflare (website hosting). We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

These providers may process information in the United States and other countries, whose data protection laws may differ from those of your country.

Data Retention

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, including the EEA, the UK and California, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to receive a copy of it, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.

In the EEA and the UK, we rely on these legal bases: performing our agreement with you (the features and purchases you use), our legitimate interests (anonymous analytics to improve the app, crediting creators and keeping the app secure), and the permissions you give in iOS for the camera, microphone, Photos and location, which you can change at any time in iOS Settings.

For California residents: the app collects these categories of personal information: identifiers (random app identifiers and the identifier for vendor), commercial information (purchase events), internet or other electronic network activity (app usage events), and general location derived from your App Store country and device region. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

Analytics and referral data are tied to random or app-specific identifiers, not to your name or account, so we usually cannot find them from an email request alone. Deleting the app resets the app's own identifiers. To make a request, contact: support@ntrxcam.app

Children's Privacy

NTRX Cam is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required in your country, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
